



Terms & Conditions
1. Standard office and consultation Hours:
Monday – Friday 9:00am -5:00pm
2. Consultation Fees:
- Initial consultation is $299 + GST per hour. (To be paid prior to initial site meetings).
- Second and subsequent consultation fees are charged at an hourly rate of $220+ GST per hour.
- Consultation fees are based on an hourly rate followed by 15-minute increments thereafter.
- The minimum consultation time is 1 hour.
- Travel Time is charged at $80+ GST per hour and $120+ GST per hour out of Sydney Metro.
- This includes travel to and from site, suppliers and meetings etc.
- The styling project management and design assistant fees are charged at an hourly rate of $160+ GST per hour.
- Should an item originally specified sell out during client approval period, there will be an administration and re-selection fee of $25 per item which will be charge with the new itemised invoice.
3. Consultation Fees include but are not limited to the following:
- Floor plans and layouts.
- Sourcing and materials, selections of finishes and fixtures, fabrics for custom furniture, lighting and accessories.
- Design selection of window treatments.
- Meetings with suppliers.
- Custom design of joinery and procurement with joiners and makers.
- Face to face and over the phone consulting.
- Shopping with client.
- Colour consultation.
- Design and assistance of furniture making.
- Please note that custom joinery or furniture is non-refundable as it is individually made for clients.
- Styling (placement of furniture, design items such as vases and books, plants etc.).
- Selection of all finishes, fixtures and fittings plus project management for apartment/ home renovations.
4. Quotations and Ordering:
For all product orders payment in full must be received before any orders will be processed. Please make payments via EFT. Once payment is received the order cannot be refunded. Laidback Lee Design does not accept deposits and product orders can only be processed when the invoice has be been paid in full. At this time unfortunately Laidback Lee Design cannot receive a credit card as a way of payment.
Please note all of the products specified on all pages of the design scheme are recommendations only. Laidback Lee Design accepts no liability for any faulty products and any claims need to be made by the client to each supplier directly.
After acceptance of quotes, payment is due upon receipt and orders are processed by the Laidback Lee Design team to ensure you can make use of access to trade prices. The final balances are always to be paid in full prior to delivery.
With all written quotations, should they not proceed to orders, there will be an administration fee of $195.
5. Photography:
- It is a condition of your agreement with Laidback Lee Design, that you agree to the project being photographed for her portfolio. You also agree that you will do all things necessary to ensure the property can be photographed in a timely manner and without unnecessary delays.
6. Delivery
Laidback Lee Design uses a wide variety of suppliers who all use their own nominated delivery companies. Laidback Lee Design is not liable for any damage caused to client property by delivery companies. If damage does occur any damage claims are to be made directly to the delivery company by the client.
Authority to leave: If a client chooses and gives approval for goods to be delivered and left at the front door it is the client’s responsibility to collect the goods. Laidback Lee Design is not responsible for any theft or damage to goods once they have been delivered
Laidback Lee Design is not responsible for shipping and manufacturing delays. All efforts will be made to adhere to proposed order time-lines but due to unforeseen delays products may arrive later than expected.
Should items arrive later than the estimated arrival date originally provided, Laidbacklee Design will attempt to provide you with a cancellation with the supplier if this is preferred. Please note, this will attract a 30% cancellation fee on all items included in the cancellation. There is also no refund for shipping and installation fees originally paid to the supplier.
If a delivery is booked and needs to be re-scheduled a re-delivery fee may apply.
The Customer must ensure that it does not automatically sign for Products being received in good condition and is to check the state of the cartons and the Products before signing for them as that will be held against the Customer by the courier company in the event of a dispute. In the event of damage/fault, the damage must be pointed out to the carrier on arrival and the Customer is to note the damages on the delivery sheet/consignment notice that the Customer will be requested to sign. The Customer must retain all packaging materials and report the problem to the Supplier immediately and provide photographic evidence via email of any damages/imperfections. The Supplier will endeavour to facilitate a resolution of the issue with the carrier on the Customer’s behalf but accepts no responsibility for transit damage.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the items ordered are capable of being delivered and can fit through doors and in goods lifts (where applicable) and are to advise upfront if access is only available via the stairwells etc as this may require delivery surcharges and/or alternative product selections.
General Conditions:
- Laidback Lee Design is happy to refer clients to preferred suppliers and tradesmen however they are not employed by Laidback Lee Design, contracts to be between the client and the supplier or trades with no responsibility on the part of Laidback Lee Design for supply or quality of workmanship.
- Please note the design fee once paid is non-refundable. Should you change your mind along the way, we are unable to provide you with any form of a refund or credit. Once you have paid your invoice for the works, we will allocate time and resources for your project.
- Laidback Lee Design is not obliged to release details of any of her suppliers and or products, fabrics and materials to clients under any circumstance. However, the supply of any such information will be at Laidback Lee Design sole discretion.
- Please note that once goods have been ordered and received to the agreed specifications there are to be no returns or exchanges due to the change of mind of items that have been ordered by Laidback Lee Design.
- All invoices will be issued fortnightly with payment terms strictly 7 days. Work will be placed on hold until payment have been received if not paid by the due date.
- Site meetings are to be paid prior to the meeting.
- Additional hours of work will be invoiced and due upon receipt.
- Should delivery fees increase with suppliers, you will receive 1 email and 1 invoice for the balance per supplier.
- Please note that Laidback Lee Design PTY LTD will not provide clients with trade invoices, correspondence and confidential information.
- By engaging in our design service, our design packages and item packages will include shipping, administration fees and account for logistics management.
- Laidback Lee Design accepts no liability for incorrect choice and does not give refunds for change of mind. All products chosen are to be decided upon by the client and it is the client’s responsibility to check all measurements of products before ordering. It is the client’s responsibility to measure all access points and areas of their property to confirm that all products ordered will be able to access the property.
- Failure to do so may result in furniture not being able to be placed in the property and Laidback Lee Design is not liable for access measurements not being checked by the client.
- Products may vary in colour, tone, lightness and texture from images shown online. Laidback Lee Design is not responsible or liable for variations that may be present in products which may differ from images shown online and, on a computer, monitor or device. It is the client’s responsibility to view each product onscreen before placing an order. It is recommended that clients visit showrooms of products before ordering.
By engaging in our services and paying the design fee you are agreeing to the terms of work set out by Laidback Lee Design.
